Authorities this week recognized the bicyclist killed final week when he was struck by a motorcyclist who was fleeing from a California State Parks officer in Carlsbad.

Solana Seaside resident Brad Allen Catcott, 68, was using his bicycle Aug. 15 alongside Carlsbad Boulevard, near Carlsbad State Seaside, when the fleeing motorcycle rider struck and fatally injured him, based on police and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Workplace.
Catcott was using from the bicycle lane to a turning lane when he was struck, based on the Medical Examiner’s Workplace. He died on the scene from a number of blunt drive accidents.
